I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day

My Mother's Day was wonderful and I hope yours was as well. 
I did finally get the 2nd baby quilt on the frame but didn't get to start quilting
it. My plan is to start it as soon as I get home from work today. They usually go
pretty fast so I could have it done with the exception of the binding. I am going to
use some small stripped material cut on the bias. It should look really cute if the 
areas where they connect don't look too bad. I've never tried it before but hey, now
is the time.

When the 3 quilts I have done are bound I want to start assembling a red/white/black
swap block top. Can't wait to see how that is going to turn out. :)

Weeds and more weeds

I spent several hours at my sons house yesterday pulling weeds. He has an HMO and
they don't like weeds. We've been pulling them off and on each weekend but never got all of
them and ran out of spray to keep them from coming back. Finally yesterday we pulled them
all and sprayed everything! I hope that means I (and he) won't be spending out time doing that
anymore for quite awhile. It sure looks nice now. 

No quilting done but I did clean off a section of my table and found several fabrics I'd looked for.
Hopefully, I can get some cutting done tonight. Wish me luck.
